Nerea is a natural teacher and has taught over 4,000 students in her career. She teaches private lessons, group lessons, workshops, and masterclasses both online and in person. Nerea has also designed curriculum and created programs, worked as an artist in residence, and spoken at numerous conferences.

Teaching Background

Nerea started teaching private lessons at the age of 15 and completed her first Artist in Residence at the age of 16.. At 17 she completed her second Artist in Residence where she worked with children from a multi-cultural neighbourhood to tell their stories of migration and create a performance of music and poetry that told their individual journeys.

Her first talk was given at the age of 18, and so was her first workshop.

Nerea went on to work as a full time music teacher in the United Arab Emirates for numerous years, teaching diverse curriculum including IB, Canadian, & British to all age groups.

She has taught countless workshops and has been faculty at numerous camps including three years at the Rocky Mountain Fiddle Camp.

Nerea enjoys sharing her passion of music and dance, and believes it is an essential part of continuing to keep the magical music and dance traditions alive.
